I don't know why I made this wallpaper, considering I've never seen an episode of the anime nor read anything
more than a few pages of the manga. I think I was just drawn to Tomoyo's outfit and the enormous bird. I love
birds. Anyhow, the article this was scanned from kept talking about a birdcage (I think that's part of the title to
the TRC movie?) so I decided to place Tomoyo and bird in a stylized birdcage -- using stone columns to allude to a
cage's bars. The floor inlays were designed in Illustrator (Illustrator's gradient mesh was also useful in
coloring the soft transitions in t he scan). The rest was done in Photoshop; the columns were recycled from my
Gankutsuou/Unchained Melody wallpaper, the floor and walls were built from textures; the starfield was brushed; the
light effects were some Apophysis renders heavily mixed with radial and motion blurs.
I still haven't gotten that knack for blending 2d character art with a 3d background.
No text this time (quite the rarity) but I couldn't manage to fit it in without breaking the harmony and symmetry
of the image.

this wall looks quite cool..i've never seen this bird in TRC >_<
haven't been watching or reading it lately.....
the composition and perspective is unique...
the only thing i dislike about this wall is actually the two pillars in the front...i know that u're trying to create the look of a birdcage....but becoz of its darkness...it kinda distract me from looking @ the main two chars.... :P

Maybe the problem is that you should have made the bg more like the 2D image drawing and outline so it will fit all together but thats y opinion....Lovely lights and accumulation of light and the title suites this wall. Great job Tama! :P

This is, without a question, the best Tsubasa wallpaper so far. Tomoyo is a nice character, and the expression in her face is priceless. The background fits perfectly with her and the bird. Congratulations for making this, you have a lot of talent. =)

Just found this wall through Kitten's mafia plug.I like the nicely rendered background but i don't think the scan fits with it. i like your idea of the birdcage thing but the columsn look 2d because they are flat the the bottom when it whould be round. Nonetheless, good lighting effects and nicely rendered ground.

Oh nice wall there X3 Like how the scan falls into the shadows in the same way as the background. Really well thought out though, even if the scan doesn't bend as it could have. But, like it heaps here <33
