The 'Redemption Loves Nothing' Digital Art Collection enters completion with this forth and final work featuring Saiyuki and Saiyuki Gaiden's adored power limited demon Monkey King, that marvellous elemental force that is Son Goku. Featuring classic original artwork by the marvellously talented Kazuya Minekura, this final piece renders all the forgotten brutality that lies in this seemingly harmless little boy's hands. Five hundred years ago a demon king was restrained in bondage for past crimes so unatonable, his very memories of the incidents were wiped clear from his recollection. This final artwork focuses on the unnerving blood on Goku's hands, the ravenous hunger in his eyes and the subtle questioning of his expression. This artwork's construction just as the other three in its succession features enhanced CG SFX, multi-layered brush work and image masking.

Further Notes: The 'Redemption Loves Nothing' Collection was inspired not only by the beauty of Kazuya Minekura's moving artwork but also by the atmosphere of trauma, uncertainty and vicious brutality that each individual Saiyuki Gaiden character illustration carried with it. Fans of my previous work with Saiyuiki character art will also be familiar with my love of bringing blood and grit to life in dynamic and potent ways. I believe that the 'RLN' Collection has come together in a poetic fusion that expressed a violent act of passion and a random act of beauty.
