This wall is my preliminary entry for The UnderAppreciated for the hope that I will be picked to participate in W.A.R (Wallpaper and Art Revolution).

First of all this wall was hard XD not in making it but because I have never seen the series so I didnt have anything to connect the wall to the character in terms of emotions so I am going all out on this one. So far with the others participating they have all seemed to gone for the dark grungy style look which is usually my style but as my mate commented when I sent him the wall for look over 'This wall is so not my style' heheh so its definitely a change.

One of the parts I hate about this wall is where the road goes into the background gaaaaaaaaaah I so cant get them to go right even with so much tweaking. *sigh* something I have to work on.

Random Stuff

Number Of Layers: 17
Completion Time: 1 hour for scan extraction, 5 hours for wall
PSD File Size: 16.7mb
Scan Credit: juanicths

Techniques & Tools Used: Gradient, stock photo, brushing, colour burn, filters, layer opacity, layer blend, curves, smudge, layer style, brightness and contrast, clone, duplication, hue & saturation.

Now we are supposed to post another link with techniques that we havent used in this wall. Now I wanted to use my Togainu no Chi - Mania wall but when I thought about it I didnt really use that many in there so after hard deliberation I am using Togainu no Chi - Bring It On as my other work. Sorry I dont know how to add those little linked images yet... yes im a noob hehehe

The wall is really nice... my only comment is that the sand features are a little to flat... the background needs a touch more depth.

I think you captured a theme of Kino no Tabi well though ^_^ It is a lonely road (even if her motorbike talks to her) but she doesn't belong anywhere. Everywhere she goes has their own traditions and beliefs and an outsider never really fits in... plus she wants to see everything... So yeah...

cuute!!!!!!! ive never seen it either!!!!!!! it's nice, great jobs!!!!!! that would be hard, if youve never seen it and you wanted to make a background out of thier emotions XD

ya I spose you could have done a few road lines (broken and perhaps grunged over a bit to make the road look tatted) and a few brushes here and there could have worked pretty well. Text jumps out a bit too much, but all in all a good wall.

What a sad title... once again... Kino reminds me of myself... being someone who doesn't fit in any of the groups and places she's visited. ^^

Her bike seems to be quite blurred. Bike this near should be a little less visible, you know. ^^ And for some reason... if you put the road at the middle, and with Kino right at the middle, the perspective would be nice. It's like putting all the attention to Kino, like leaving a city or some sort. And yeah. now that I mentioned leaving the city (like Teryon's) If you put a little city lights right below the valley, it would be nice and it makes the whole work like Kino is leaving a city because she doesn't suit the tradition and people leaving in that certain area. ^^

Overall, it's a beautiful and simple piece of Kino. I like Kino's artwork, but I never watched the anime. >.<
