I can't say I've commented on your work in sometime (My deepest apologies for that as well) and I just saw this wall and honestly... I just instantly fell inlove with it. I can't say I've seen a Chrno Crusade wall like this before..much less a scan of Rosette like this either =3. I've been meaning on commenting on this for sometime (ever since I saw it at AP) but due to myself procrastinating and work, I haven't had the time to, well, that changes now =x.
First off, the scan. This is just a gorgeous scan of Rosette and I just love the flow of the whole scan. It's beautiful. What really strikes my curosity is if this is a fan drawing or not, I'm guessing it is because of the style, but the whole focus on the contract between her and Chrno is just beautiful. You did a seriously amazing job with it as well, I love how you put a bit of flash on the contact, making it seems as if she's activating it and overall it really kinda gives her the 'magical girl' type feel, yet it's so mystical, so beautiful. I'm really just loving what you did with this scan, Yumi.
Here's the main part, the part that drew me in, the bg. Oh wow.. I really don't know where to begin here because there is just so much I want to comment on, but here we go =x. First, choice of colors. Beautiful. I cannot think of any other word to describe other than simply a gorgeous amount of eye candy. It sorta has a 'grungish' type feel to it, yet somewhat of a blurred type feel to it as well and just the blue..looks simply amazing. As if it were almost a dream, fitting so perfectly with the scan and really setting a relaxed and calm mood for the whole background. I absolutely love it, especially with the falling feathers mixed into the bg, just a very nicely done idea and the outline of the wings on Rosette, even if wings are trendwhorish, I can't say I've ever seen wings like that before. A very unique concept and idea that really turned out very nicely and your work really paid off overall. I also like the little bit of light that is going around Rosette as well as the dots =3, just really gives even more of a magical/angelic type of effect to her and really does make her look like the holy mother =3. I just fell inlove with this background when I first saw it and I still feel the same way about it, its just gorgeous. The wings especially get to me, giving the angelic effect, yet they blend nicely into the background and don't ruin the focus point either~ Still giving plenty of attention to Rosette. I think it was a very unique idea that in the end, turned out very nicely and looks simply amazing. =3 The text looks quite nicely as well, fitting very nicely with the background and I think it was a nice choice as well.
Overall, what else can I say? A beautiful combination of effects and some seriously unique ideas really just came out as a gorgeous masterpiece in the end. I have to say that this is by far the most unique CC wall I have ever seen and honestly, by far my favorite. Truly showing off your talent, Yumi =D This wall is my favorite of the month, I just simply love it and I really cannot think of any other way to describe how I feel about this wall.
