The colors are a bit weird to me. But a flshy bg wouldn't suit her.

I really like the scan--a tough gal with striking blue eyes. The extraction of her came out wonderful and it must have been fun with her hair =)
i like the blend of the 'photo' of trees in the back...I am assuming it is a photo with mist-effects. Again--nice blend! And I think the wallpaper is great with what you have done with it. Personally, for me, it wouldn't look good if you add some frills around her (like the famous sparkles) that could take away from her style and expression. Sometimes simplicity makes a strong statement in itself as it does in your wonderful wall ^_^ -

I really like the scan. The background is a little weird though, the color should have been a little more brown I think. And the "mist" looks alot like clouds in the sky and not like mist at all...
Its a nice attempt though and I can tell you worked hard on it. :) -

The background is nice. It's nice how you incorperated the character into the scene by adding the mist in front but I think you should at least colouize the mist. If it is water, then try colouring it a light blue? I just think that it mgiht look better with colour.
