Finally after xxx hours im finished with a wallpaper.
Meh I'm trying to go for the 3d abstract background wif lotsa eyecandy.
To be honest to myself and to you, I think i failed miserably.
Neways, the 3d renders where made in 3dsmax and bryce, girl's from ugetsu hakua, recolored her red hair and tatoos to a blue cause i like it, recged her wings, at which i failed miserably.
Ahh yeah here and there some eyecandy to enjoy i guess, have fun :D i personally like my new signature though xD

the bg is awesome
and the text is good
but the girl doesn't seem to fit well with the technie stuff
and the wings are pretty fugly XP
the siggy's not to bad, though not all that original in design

sigh: onto the wallpaper review........
although the bg itself is very cool and cyberpunk-like reversing the image [the original stance was far better], changing the girl tattoos and wings from red to blue seems ill advised. it takes away from the power exuded from the original artwork. i must confess though, i like the bg otherwise. looks like the inside of a chip or something... in summary the scan doesn't match the bg at all, the wings are not in proportion [upon close inspection] and the placement of the sword in her left hand looks awkward so yeah it could have been a lot better. -
Good style of background...different as you noted. However, as other people have pointed out, the scan you used would probably look better in a heavenly setting. You could use a tech type of scan that will look even more fitting for the background. Otherwise, a good job done here.

Impressive work even though it wasnt what youd expect but i love it, wish there was more text techies around the wall but the whole bg comes together, love how you put the whole city together in the horizion. Great job as always! :)

Well... It looks good thumbnailed, and it's decent to look out full sized, kudos for that. The trouble arises when I try to figure out what you tried to make in the bg @.@
It looked like the hull of a space ship at first, then a cyber-city, then some sort of cyberspace thing.... truthfully dude, when it comes to making 3d stuff, too much can be just that. Great effects though, it looks great. And exactly how long did you spend on it? Looks like you spent a frew weeks non stop on it... And I thought I was bad <_<
(btw, no I'm not dead... I come on IRC every now and then, when I've got nothing else to do. iPods change that though XP)

I almost looks like you created your own story with this because it looks so awsome...it looks like she's walking on air in a virtual-reality city....very intense wallpaper :D -
looks great imho. love the renders that you did for the 'platform'? and you even did silhouettes of buildings in the far top-right corner! i'm just curious on how it would look like it you left the scan red-ish. would it look like a nice contrast or stick out as a sore thumb? XD i guess we'll never know. keep it up lima-sama.

First, I love Ugetsu's works, so this instantly has catched my attention. Secondly, I think you did an awesome job on the renders, specially the way you did the lightning effects for it, it looks really vibrant. And I really enjoyed that you have changed the scans original redish feeling to a nice blue tone.
