I now have a whole new respect for those tarot card designers over at DA. These cards are kinda hard to make them look good. Took me a while to get the basic design down (I know it looks simple. I dont like too fancy a design). Really enjoyed making this one. A gift to tarotcafe. No, its not her birthday. I just felt like giving her something after dissing her all these time =P. Karma +1 for me. Yay!
I had this wallpaper idea for more than a week now but never really worked on it. Inspiration from Tony Taka's Arcana wallpaper. Unlike Tony's, I couldn't achieve a full circle of all the Major Arcana (a tarot term for the main cards). Not enough characters to fit in the slot unless I do a cross-over to Tsukihime.
The scan in the middle had me searching for a good 2hrs thru my entire Type-moon pic collection. Finally settled on this one. Removed High Priestess (Ilya) card for The Lovers card. Sorta fits in more with the current central scan.
Really love how this turned out.

I think the wallpaper format is friendly for all computers (it's nice and centered.) The Rin moon image could use some burn effect on her little strand of hair on the left of her head in my opinion... it looks white and somewhat pixelated... The other extractions are nice.... and while I like simple walls, this wall looks great! Honest! I feel that the center circle of girls should have some differentiation from the outside of the cards... the first thing that came to mind was just adding some sort of subtle pattern or effect on the outside ring (at first I thought a pattern tool, and then I imagined a ring of ripples...). But I can't really complain about anything in this image... Like I said, it's great as is, and the subtle pattern effect could just be an alternate version of the wall for people that want more texture in their wallpapers.
