I do like the idea of this wallpaper. It's simple and it really does capture the feeling. I spose the only thing I can perhaps suggest is maybe a few more layers of the scan to bring out the colour. Some colour manipulation using the adjusting / hue / saturation controls perhaps can bring out some different colours :) Play around with blending modes too (double click the layer and you'll see a little box that says "normal" on it. Then you have a look at what the other options can do ^_^)
It's a great wallpaper... good work :D
