1280x1024 Wallpaper
Usually everything I make is "happy happy! :D" but this is the exception. It's been a while since I submitted my last wall, and that's because my life has been totally crazy. I've had a few ups, mostly downs. So, I haven't had time to wall, sadly. I was in a melancholy mood while making this, and I really think it shows. :P Thanks to everyone that encouraged me to finish this though! I probably would've dropped the project for lack of time if I didn't know there were some people out there who care. ^__^
ok, so about the wall itself...
It has a WHOPPING 120 layers, give or take a few useless ones.
Took about 5 months to finish, but only a few days of actualy work :P
Everything was my work, except for the scan and the clouds, which were stock photos.

This girl is from White Clarity, it's under the game section. I like the atmosphere. Great job on the grass!
I think the stars are a bit too monotonous, and some of the ripple is over the grass... Kinda looks weird like that. But I love the way you made her dress flare as it contacts the water. And I just adore that cricket! XD Very nice!

This scan is awesome. I literally lived right on top of a swamp when I was younger and we had mosquito problems so it's hard sometimes to appreciate the swamp's beauty. This reminds me of when it gets colder on a clear night and the bugs go away. I haven't seen it in a long time because I've been away to college.
Good job. I love the setting of the wallpaper, it adds a special something. Nice color for the girl as well, it combines in a great way. =D
Ooh...so pretty! You did a great job on the scenery! But the mountains are a little transparent...and the stars make too much of a pattern...but other than that you made a really nice wallpaper. :D

Amazing skill! This wallpaper shows the time and effort you put in. I can't even tell if there are any stock images besides the scan--it all is brushes and your sweat. You should be proud of yourself.
The reflection in the water is beautiful. I admire how detailed you are with the shadows and other reflections. I
mean, you even have the islands doing their own reflection.
The atmosphere is conveyed very nicely--a dismal mood indeed.
i guess just like how writers convey their feelings on paper--you definitely conveyed your melancholy mood in your art.
