This was a dark and earthy piece mainly because I love pieces with beginnings. And you get to make up the end. Thats exactly what the series was and a beautifully structured series too.
I extended the main scan (Click Here) across the left side of the wallpaper, and then used some tribalish-sketch brushes to give the newly empty space some filler. Then I duplicated the extended scan and overlaid it above itself. It gave the image its mostly earthen hue. I found a beautiful picture of the merwomen(Click Here) and had to incorporate them into the image, as they were beautiful. Did some work to make it fit since they were on a yellow bacground and ridiculous to extract. Applying them, and then added some text.
I hope you love this piece. Its intention was to give warm hope kind of feeling. :) Thanks for looking.

i luv how you incorporated the two scans and tribal brushes flawlessly together! and the earthy tones look much better than the original scan. i also luv your font choice as it compliments the look of your wall... :D

Very nice wallpaper. Its a beautiful piece. The colors are perfect. It does give me a warm hope kind of feeling. Sunira, you are an elite at MT and one of the best at creating anime wallpapers. Of course I will add this to my favs. :) :) :)
