I have to say that I am quite proud of this. This is fanart for Gundam Seed Destiny. The idea was to capture the feel of the imagery used in the opening sequences. People who have seen the openings should know the kinds of images I am refering to. Seed has tendancy to use lense flares. I used them too, to further emulate the feel. I hope that they are not too jarring.
A few techincal notes. Shinn is in the Freedom's pilot seat, not the Impulse's. This is because I could not find lineart reference for the Impulse's cockpit. Besides, I kinda wanted both seats to look the same anyway. The details on the both the seats probably aren't identical to the show and they are probably doing stuff that they dont' do (like Shinn pushing down on the control thing... not sure it can actually be pushed like that).
The hardest part was the mobile suits in the background. Good thing they're obstructed, they had the most mistakes. I did spend a lot of time on their lighting effects though. Pitty those were covered.
The most fun part was the naked Stellar, for obvious reasons. I used the pen tool a lot on her to good get good curves.
If anyone is at a loss as to what scene I was meaning to illustrate, I'll tell you (spoilers ahead): This is the scene in episode 34 where Shinn and Kira duel. This is the final move when Shinn shoves his saber through the Freedom (Kira survives, somehow :P). Stellar naked in the background is to represent why this fight is happening. Shinn is angry over losing Stellar to Kira's sword, so he naturaly wants revenge. I hope I captured his angry feelings well enough in his face ^_^
