Translation: "Eyes not Needed"
When I found out that Akira blinded himself in order to become stronger (>.O ...it makes sense, trust me!), I knew I'd eventually have to do a doujin concerning it. In essence, Akira willingly sacrificed all the beauty of the visible world in order to gain an edge over his opponents, relying on "reading" them with his other senses. Add to the fact he was already reasonably intelligent, he learned to deduce emotions even outside of battle.
But what really struck me about this situation is how quickly Akira rises to justify his course of action, when he's otherwise very close-mouthed about himself. In volume 14, Bontenmaru remarks how easy it is to forget that Akira is blind, as he always seems to know where he's going. Stung, Akira replies, "I have no need for eyes. There is little in this world that I care to see." He smiles bitterly while Yuya gives him a sympathetic, wondering look.
(When drawing this, the random thought of "What Akira really needs is a hug... or therapy. Looooots of therapy" popped into my head. Which then led to me think about what a Shiseiten group therapy session would be like... >.< *falls off chair*)

It's beautiful, sylvacoer! It really fits Akira. You're right I never really thought about how quickly he rose to defend his loss of sight. But anyway this is a very beautiful doujinshi, you did a great job. ^_^ It represents alot of his character. (you should write about the Shiseiten group therapy, knowing you it would turn out great, you have a knack for writing some really funny stuff :D) Awsome work! Can't wait to see more! ^_^

YAY akira! I love the ways you colored it. When akira said "i have no need for eyes" in the manga i started to wonder how he did become blind. (it could've been self inflicked or not)

A very good story to go with him. I like the idea behind it. First off, amazing cging of his hair. Looks so bright and pretty. Good job! One thing would be the blood. It doesn't look natural. You should add some dripping down from his face and soaking the front of his shirt. Other than that, your style is becoming even more nicer. Awesome drawing~

loll... in the French version, if i translate litterally he says : "too many things in this world aren't worth looking at" funny how translations work oh wait, i'm studying in translation ^_^' wonder what he says in the original version now XD
ok, more about arts now ^_^' the drawing is very nice... the colouring as well the only part i don't like it the "blood tears", they are too thick. i think... and not really bleeding like... i don't know, it just looks weird...
anyways, very cool drawing (and sorry about my translation talk ^_^' it's just that i love comparing languages and versions ;) )

Wow! Akira is blind, and he blinded himself? I never knew that! Coz all this while I've seen the manga, and I thought he just had little eyes. ^_^' Anyway, wonderful job you've done! No wonder you like Akira so much. ^^ Great job once again sylva!
