This is such a good series and I had to make a wallpaper, with what minimal skills I have, this is what I have come up with. It is plain but still kind of effective, the background was a difficult thing to come up with, such a nice image of chi but I just couldn't think of something at the time to use for her background. I'm using it as my desktop image to see if it is any good, suprisingly enough it looks pretty dam good, you gotta love the mosaic effect.
I hope people like my lastest achievement and so I now go forth to try and improve.

pretty good, pretty good, the picture you used is very nice, i dont know too much about the background though, but it still looks good!

Yup the mosaic effect looks pretty cool. I see you tried to do some lighting effects there too! It does seem a bit plain though because it's just some random background with a character slapped on.
i used a mosaic effect because it seemed plain but then that wasn't enough so i tried to adding a bit of lighting and then thought oh well. The background images is pictures of moons and stars so i thought it may fit in with chi. Another reason for the mosaic was the background was a tad blurry so it just looked bad. Well thanks for the nice comments so far.
