This is something I put together in my new system and with Illustrator CS2 (new to me also)... Rin is one of my favourite anime characters so I decided to make her as my test subject....
Took me about 4 hours to complete, made using Illustrator CS2 and Photoshop for color corrections.
Edit: and yeah I made her in a costume she will never wear in the series...
