Nice colouring on both the wall and the girl...anyways the actual reason I like this wallie is because she looks gothic.

Mmmm, I like, but I think it could be better. Let me explain.

First: things I like. As has been said numerous times in the thread, the old parchment feel to the background, and colour choices simply rock. I can find nothing to fault there at all. The character is an excellent choice as well, and she blends well with the feel of the overall wall.

The problem I have is the grass. It's too... overdone and cliched, I guess. Your entire piece speaks of minimalism. A smudge for a sun. A single desolate tree, bare of leaves. A small flock of birds. Then you get to this clutter on the ground, which (in my opinion of course) works completely at odds with the entire rest of the wall. Add no feel of a horizon, and it just feels rushed to me. I'd have preferred smudgy dirt and rock, with a far off horizon. Or a carefully raked zen garden with a cracked stone wall.

Meh, feel free to ignore, as it is a personal taste. I think I just don't like the grass-brushes, since it tends to lead to very similar looking foregrounds for a number of "scenery" walls. Maybe I'm a wall-snob, but with so many walls clamoring for attention, just a single minor chiche like this will keep me from using it.

Not that one less person using your wall should really mean all that. Judging from responses here, I think I may be in the minority. I just think you can do better XP

So! That all said, I'd like to reiterate that aside from that one gripe, I really do like your wall. I look for not only the flashy nice scan (which you do have), but also unique style (which this also has, aside from the grass). So, keep up the good work!
