Wow...0_0 You and your friend would make an awesome doujinshi team! XD You can both draw and color your stuff---no need to hire illustrators (y'know...if you considered a career in some form of art). This is a really nice pic---I thought it was yours until I read the description---kudos to your friend's skills!^-^ And your coloring skills, of course.
