When I saw the first episode of this series, I found it intriguing and different from the typical series nowadays -- based on a Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, it feels more like a Studio Ghibli film than anything else. I took a screenshot from the opening because I just liked the designs of the Snow Queen herself and the icy pedestal she was on. At first I was thinking of having her overlooking a snow-covered village with the Aurora overhead, but I couldn't find any good referencce pictures of snow-covered villages from above, so I went for an abstract, magic-summoning style of wallpaper instead, using Apophysis-designed fractals and snowflake brushes I made really quickly for the lighting effects.

What can I say to this wall? It's great! My first imppression was that the lighting was somewhat a sun or something. But when I zoom in, it's just a lighting. ^_^" Well, you made it great. Like the bg and all the stuff you made. Good work. *cheers* ^_^

A rest from the typical scenery wallies is nice~ I think that the queen's left hand is a little too huge X_x but great job neways~!

Wow, I really like this wall. :-) The colouring is great, and those snowflakes are really cool. Oh, and those fonts are the best fonts I've ever seen on a wallpaper, what are they? anyway, +fav for me ^^

Wow Tama! You are into fairy tale wallie now? XD I really miss those. n_n Those swirling waves and snowflake fits the BG well. ^_^ I like the ice thing that she stands on looks neat. XD Only thing is her left hand. Ain't it too big? XO Sorry for the critique. >_<

Now that is something to suit my mood today. Pretty simplistic and yet beautiful. The chara design reminds more of Osamu Tezuka, though.

I know it's a winter scene, so it can't be helped to some degree, but the lack of contrast between the character and the surroundings made it originally very hard for me to figure out what was going on in this wall.

That may just be me, though ^^

Whoa I am totally going to have to check out this show now! I like the abstract feel of the wall, and I think there is enough contrast between the character and the background for the wall to work. :)

Two things look wierd though... her left hand looks huge. (or is it like that in the series? ) And the horse's face ... yeah horse's faces don't look like that. @_@ Nor do their front legs connect to their bodies the way the horse's right front is doing. I'm guessing that's the way it was in the screenshot though, since I have yet to see a decently drawn anime horse in my life. -_- The wall is still very cool though (I just could never use it as a background because that horse would drive me crazy. XD )

woah..i can feel the coldness just by looking @ this wall.
I haven't watch this anime....maybe i'll give it a try ^^ cuz it looks interesting.
    the snowflakes background is soft..flowy...dreamy....
the lighting effect looks great...gives it a bit of contrast comparing to the softness from the background.
btw...if MyrrhLynn didn't point out her left hand...haha i wouldn't realize....yea...the left hand looks big..as compare to her right hand....
nonetheless.....this looks great!~ definitely a fav for me.
