This wallpaper has a heckuva lot of inspirations... First things first is the Underappreciated Contest 4 where we are to make wallpapers based on the quote "Life is not tried it is merely survived when you're standing outside the fire." Second is MT North and it's section on wallpapers with Canadian influences and from that the desire to do a wallpaper using a prairie sunset. ( I live in Saskatchewan and love my Prairie Sunsets)

Overall this wallpaper took forever compared to my others (I've been working on aspects of this wallpaper for at least 3 or 4 days now...) Every sunset in this image is done free. The 2 in the photos were done based on photographs for colors and color placement, the main BG sunset is completely original though. So is the night sky, and moon. The House on the Hill in the sunset area is based on an FMA calendar scan. I vectored Ed and Al Bond of Brothers for one of the pictures and the other photo is a vector I found here on minitokyo, don't feel like looking right now. I also vectored Ed on the "rock" with Armor Al by the fire. The Rock is original... Ed was originally sitting on a car and the place looked like a junkyard. I wanted a more natural feel, so I made it a rock.

Overall, this wallpaper took the most time and effort to accomplish o.o I think it turned out very nice overall ^_^ I'm not sure what else to say... >_>

Umm here's the Photo's in wallpaper size (unburnt) if you're interested.

Man, that's amazing! *__* Wonderfully put together, it came out really good! Musta taken a while, and nice vectoring x3

WOW lol, this is really cool! I can't say too much on this one because it was just done so well and worked on so much! The vectoring is excellent and everything is nice and clean
^-^ I can see that although you like to make simple wallies, this one has gotten a lot more complex this time round and I can sense your time to shine real soon :D

Actually, in essence it is still a very simple wallpaper. I just had a whole lot more work to do on it. Hmm... let's see... I have 5 .psd files in relation to this wallpaper. Vector 1 "Bond of Brothers" (42 layers), Vector 2 "Brothers Hobo" (35 Layers) [not actually complete, completed in Wallpaper], Photo 1 "Sunset Fields" (4 layers) [12 lost in process], Photo 2 "Photo Op" (8 layers) [6 lost in process] and the Wallpaper file (31 layers) [making all of those other PSDs into at least 1 layer].

Wow, that is totally very cool. I really like it. The images you used, the background, it all fits together so nicely. Great job. +fav

excellent job on the vectors but the photos are a little too perfect. They had some nice burnt effects but arent believable as real ones when you have too straight clean cut edges. Other than that you are insane for vectoring that much :D well done

Pretty cool transition from the good times to the bad. The photos do need a lil work. The singeing is good but a lil work around the straight edges will give it a more realistic look. Your vectoring are very good and always look nice but you don't have to vector everything. XD It won't take too long then. ^_^ But this is really cool work with a good idea behind it!

Actually... I kinda DO have to vector everything. XD I find I'm not satisfied with my wallpapers anymore unless I put tonnes of work into them. The less work I put into a wallpaper the less pride I have in it. So obviously since I put a lot of work into this wall, I'm very proud of it ^_^ I seem to have lost all interest in extraction anymore... it has to be a vector. Extraction doesn't leave me satisfied.

But anyway, for what I wanted with this wall, vectoring was honestly the only way to go. 1. I wanted to change the setting of the main image to something natural instead of a junkyard. 2. The house image had Winry, Al and Ed running on the Path and I didn't really want them... If you notice I have a little white outline next to the house's door. In the original image that's their mother, but I wanted it to feel like something's missing in that area, which is also why I had one of the posts knocked over. The photos are their for "color" and impact and I suppose I didn't have to vector the boys for a photo like that but the images I had were pretty bad quality... one had nice color and texture but was tiny the other had nice lines and was nice and big but the overall quality was pretty bad...

Great job vectoring! I can tell you put a lot of work into this wall. The transition between the two scenes looks very nice. I guess the only thing that could use a little work is on the photos a little more singing around the straight edges would look more realistic. (like walkure245 said)
Other than that though, it looks nice ^_^ Keep up the good work Terra-chan :)

wow, terra, you've really out done yourself with this one. all your vectors look so nice and the sunsets came out really well. i would have to agree wtih evo though. burning pictures tend to crumble up so some slight work could be added to the pictures to give it that extra something, but its a great looking wall none the less. misa said it correct, your time to shine is upon us. :] +fav
