Having had such issues(extraction mostly) with my previous effort, to the point I even removed it, I decided to move on from it and practice on another...that image just irritates me too much right now. Plus I moved back to a brushed abstractist type background.
The original image had her kneeling on a chunk of bare rock, glowing cracks all around her, and thats kind of what I went with here. And since she IS the ultimate nanotech android(and I like techy walls), I added a bit of that in.
The extraction took me damn well two hours, and another three trying to get everything to feel right(the first 2 hrs had me plotting what I wanted to do as I painstakingly tried for the best extract I could get). So alot of time spent on this. Not compared to some people, but..Im not them.

wonderful the extraction is way better *claps* well done but the hair looks a bit umm funky almost like the edges have been overly blurred. Your choice in text was alot better and the techy stuff blends in with the theme but you lose brownie points for the scan being horrendous. The image is too low quality even for a wall that low. When you scan is like that you should consider re-vectoring it
I personally like the blurred edges, but definitely an image that needs to be vectored. Overall a wonderful wall that just suffers from source image quality ^_^; I think that seems to be the problem with most of your work... your great at interesting and creative BGs... but bad with the source images ^_^; I can't offer much advice since I'm not much of one for extraction... I vector vector vector
Firstly Teryon, I have one thing to say and that is to slow down!
As
funny as it seems, nobody's forcing you to quickly finish walls, and you can
take your time to make them. Lol, and I know you're not like other people and I
have a feeling that you just like to get your walls done. Put love into the
wallpapers, and slow things down a little. If you have watched Rah's vector
tutorial, it's nicely paced. A bit slow of course, but things seem to work a bit
better. Also without rushing you'll make less mistakes... a bit like in a test
Onto the wall
The extraction isn't too bad... I think the hair's a bit strange... like it's ok, but the edges are different to the rest of the scan. The quality is a bit fuzzy. Like what the previous two lovely ladies have offered was the option of vectoring, and my suggestion is just a lot of different layers with different lighting to get the right image in the end. Somehow I don't think there are enough layers on the scan herself.
The brushwork is great as always, but I could have seen this girl in a scenic wall. Like on a roof, but here it's fine the way it is. I'm not sure about the colours though, because yellowish and purplish contrast... *that's why I think of night scenes with ninjas thus rooves*
Text is very suiting, and since you spent a lot more time on this wall than your others, I see you're making a transition to put more time into planning, which is good ^-^
as the people before me have mentioned, your extraction technique is way better, but the scan is still lacking on the resolution quality.
HER left arm looks a bit odd but i dont know if thats how she look like or
whatever. you're getting better teryon, keep it up. ^_^
wow... i think it looks nice. you say it took you only 2 hours for the first part of the extraction... jeez... if only i could be so lucky. i'm lucky to be half done with it in that amount of time lol.. keep it up
