Oh great its another Togainu wall heheh I absolutely love this picture but it was a real pain to get since I had to scan it from my soundtrack cover. It was that one that sits under the plastic cover that holds your cd in so I wanted to cry as I scanned it. Nooo the bending *cries* The original scan also had Shiki in it and I really wanted to keep him in the wall but it was too confusing with 2 characters.

Now the major dilemma was the background. I have never vectored a background in Photoshop before and usually for something like this I use Freehand but I wanted to keep a real-ish effect to it instead of the hard shape from a true vector. Even worse landscape backgrounds arent my forte so I was taking a big dare on this one. So I found a stock photo of some alleyway in Detroit and just went from there. Any feedback for the background will really help since Im trying to improve my skills here hehehe. Just no 'God you suck' cause I know I dont suck :P

Other random stuff
Layers: 60 (an all time record for me)
Hours: about 12 hours cumulative over 4 days
Music that kept me sane during the process: Togainu OST of course, Deus Machina Demonbane OST, Phantom Of Inferno OSTs & Outlaw Star OSTs (Yeah Outlaw Star seems a bit out of place)

I really love the whole concept of this. I just think that there could be a bit more 3dimensionalness to it... if thats a word. I love it though, it is quite amazing.

Your saying you scanned in this image with the two characters? Why don't you share the scan too then? This such a cool image and the wall is great! The building looks awesome though the lamppost seems a little off... And the light under the lamppost should either encompass a larger area or be moved over so the center of the area of light is equal with the actual light source. Just a few helpful nitpicks.

I still would love to see that scan.

this wall is really cool. Sinister :) Goes well with the pic :) The quality of the pic could be better but it looks good :)

Oooo the blood XD I quite like the vectored background, looks good to me^^ And I really like the textures you've used. Though the wall's a whee bit too dark for me >_> And you might want to add some shadow for the street lamps cause right now the bottom of the posts don't look like they're sitting very well on the ground.
But anyways, I think your background vectors are good so keep it up!

For me, I would really love the see the details of your building more. It looks like awonderful building but I can't see it. Likewise I think the moon should be brighter because well... lol... it creates some more balance. I think the guy's face is lit up on the wrong side. I remember I got a comment once saying "which is brighter... the moon or the lamp?" lol... and it was naturally the moon (and since your lamp is on the same side, both would be equally as bright) so I think the left side should be illuminated ;) I think his other eye would definitely stand out more like a lovely glow to create some nice colour contrast and have a stronger effect. The only other thing that niggles me a bit is the scan because it's a little grainy :) I suggest you use duplicate the original scan, and do a noise-median 5pixels and put that to soft light. I usually have 3 duplicates each with different lighting, but however you wanna do it is up to you XD

Overall it's a lovely wall... we don't see too many dark ones around MT and this one is definitely one of the best ones ;)

Hhm... why do you say it's Togainu's blood? Why?? Okay, skip that one. ^^

The lamp post is a little disoriented compared to the building. Don't tell me you used the lamp post in here so often to beat things about? ^^ Well, I'm not sure... unless you really did that on purpose, it looks quite nice. Ruins, hehhe.

You said you vectored the building? Awesome work on that one. I mean, it's really very nicely done with all the craks and all that. But problem is I can only see some parts of it. And I really wanna see how you vectored the whole building.

i really enjoy how you make this wall looks dark. But hmm... I think Togainu's face are shone bright at the wrong side? It should be at the left side... and it should be a little dimmer... the moon isn't so bright and I can't really see the lamp post is shone... so yeah. ^^

Overall, it's a really nice piece of dark wall, although it's a little too dark behind Togainu... the lightings problem... but it's still nice. You did a wondeful job indeed.
