Grunge is so not my forte.

It's probably best I go the abstract route. Anyway, the theme was a 'dirty birth'... hence the grunge or dirty background contrasting against the gentleness of the bubbles (romance bubbles! whee~).

More resolutions soon at Antique Fairy Tales.... God, it feels so cool to say that.

Wall: In my dreams
Reason: Your typical grass and sky wallpaper, but with a very unique details such as coloring, texture, and scan. Refreshingly, the scan is not to usual type to be used at Minitokyo. And not to mention, this Saluki's first grass&sky wallpaper --- that's impressive on it's own when you think about it.

lol your grunge seems awesome here ^^ much better than my grunge ^_^'
really like the simple concept of the girl rising from the bubbles. btw, the bubbles are nice XD
the bg just seems good for the scan.
even the text effect is good

    nice work +fav

Wow, you're good at grunge. This one is really clean, the scan, grunge, text, everything. Even though the bubbles seem alittle "wtf?", lol xD. Still, they look awesome with the scan. Great job on this one, I think I'm going to use it.

  3. Rebel-Soul-Kaze Jul 14, 2005

Not bad at all i must say ^^,maybe u can add more layers to make a more depth look in the background (yes i suck when i try to explain something xD),also u can make the bubbles and title look a little more brownish just to make it fit with the dirty look, not bad like i say before. ^^U

  4. ayanechan Jul 14, 2005

If this isn't decent grunge, then I don't know what should I call the 'grunge' that I do. I think you were going for 'simplicity' this time and it looks great imho. The bubbles were an interesting add-on in this wallie. Good job overall

  8. rythem Jul 14, 2005

waa.... looks like the bubbles r making her float 8D
very nice grungy wallie.. but maybe u should make small bubbles on top of the wall too ... >.>

I think it's come out very well indeed. The character scan fits perfectly and the effects work well along with the colours.

  10. Raiyne Jul 14, 2005

Kewl wallie of Arcueid. I see nothing wrong with your grunge. :D I love the contrast of the delicate bubbles on the grunge background. Your theme is well portrayed in this piece. The bubbles show the character rising to new life in the surrounding world of darkness or emerging from this world. Hence the title. :)
    Very well done.

I love your grunge style.. and the colours fit perfectly to the atmosphere... >___< nyaa.. the bubbles look great.. not much to say about this one cuz everything is just amazing.. XD +fav ^^

  15. RahX101 Jul 14, 2005

i dont see any probles with your grunge. the wall turned out very well and you did capture that "dirty birth" effect without going too much overboard. your scan came out nice aswell. nice job. +fav ^^

Huh? I think you did very well with this wallpaper. The elements combined well & nothing to complain about so I think it's great.

    Fav'ed.

    nice wrok.
nice execution in the scan and the bg.
I'm amazed by the simplicity of the texture. the choice of color is awesome.
I like the bubbles ,very smart , my only comment on the bubbles would be the composition of it, as it looks nice as it is nice, perhaps adding more irregularity into it, it looks rather composed.

The text is awesome >.< you just inspired me XD
I'm likingit a lot and the butterfly is cool ^_^
The grunge is nice, maybe rebel was trying to say something about more depth? i think.
But it think overall this wall looks awesome.
    Thanks for sharin ^_______^

  18. Ikorus Jul 15, 2005

The concept is very nice. :) The grunge and dirty birth theme you were going for really makes this wall standout. The colors you chose are somehow calm and yet slightly eerie. Putting bubbles there is a great idea, but I don't see much depth on them, or maybe that's just me. But it's great work anyways.

  19. kara Jul 16, 2005

Nyah you know howta grunge?? Looks awesome! The background and the bubbles are definitely an interesting combination ^^ Awesome job!!

Hey! This is a great grunge wall!

Anyways, the wall is very clean and love the bubbles :O

    Excellent wallpaper.

  22. ozma255 Jul 19, 2005

Nice effects on the bubbles, adding some more reflection to the center of the bubbles would make it perfect. The bg , scan and the bubbles all fit in perfectly, once again a good job and a fav, happy walling! :D

  23. flyindreams Jul 22, 2005

Don't think I can add anything else from what everyone else said... ^^|| Definitely combining the grunge with the bubbles was a good call 'cause it's so unusual! I wish that her legs were a little more visible 'cause I actually spent quite a while wondering if her legs were covered by her skirt, lol. Wonder if a couple more bubbles on the sides would've added anything to the wall?

ahhhh anyways, just me nit-picking ^.~ Nice job with the grunge, I want to learn how to do that too T_T

  24. HitomiEyes Aug 02, 2005
