finally got back into making a wall! yay me.
inspiration came to me while looking over some photos of my vacation last week. being the independence day of america, i got the idea of this one. the scan was from aethereality.net and it's a doujinshi of a series i'm not familiar with.
crazy backgroud, yes i had to endure it for the past 3 hours. x_x i wanted to take advantage of the pose he was doing. so i made it like he was "stirring up a storm". oooh.. sorry, i'm in dork mode. sooo i made the glowing light around him and the lightning in the background.
another idea i tried out of the "pop-up" effect of his arm. his arm was almost twice his body size so i thought, "hey, why not make it a pop-up?" soo i separated his arm so that the overlaying spectrum doesn't kill it. for that extra "magical" effect, brushes were put to make it look like the magic was actually working. and... added that "aura" around him to spoof it up a bit.

wow, enduring 3 hours of trying to get the background must have been quite an ordeal >_< i love the effect comming from his arm. looks like he really is summoning something, and in this case its a storm. the scan could use a bit more work but still its a nice wall. nice job. ^^

multicolored lightning bolts is something ive never seen before ^_^' but it seems to work well with the summoning card/paper the guy is holding in his hand.
extraction seems a bit off around the hair.even though, nice work ^^
