I really wanted to try out grunge and fantasy since I don't think I've done either. The reason it's entitled "Elemental Infection" is because you'll see some representations for different elements like wood, water, air, ice and such, and they seem to be getting infected by some sort of virus, which is represented through the grunge work. The girl is also getting infected. I'm sorry if I the wallpaper doesn't fit the girl at all. I haven't watched Shingetsutan Tsukihime yet, and I just wanted a very high quality scan.
Please excuse my grunge work for now, as this is my first try at it. I really like how I made the texts though. :D This
just includes lots of brush work using PS default brushes and some brushes from DeviantArt, different blending modes,
and a couple of stock photos from www.sxc.hu.
45 layers. Took about 8 hours in 7 days (in the middle of homework! XD).

the blending of the background and scan is perfect, and the effects and brushwork really emphasize the concept of your wall. and those floating white thingies on the top remind me of ghosts or spirits for some reason...your wall is very eerie.

It's background shows dark and calm atmosphere
and also quite fit with the character. Ren is so cute as always!

This is a piece of work that I think deserves to be added to my favorites list. The background blends excellently with the stock image, and the text effects are so cool. I think you could be a very good cover artist for books like Jedi Apprentice, The Seventh Tower, and other chapter books (not that I read them primarily, I prefer the longer and more enjoyable novels).

Wow... so much detail (which I like)! The words seems to be "over-faded" but it doesn't bother me much. The subject (girl) looks great itself. The blue/green/teal flare-like things encircling the subject looks nice too. It's one of my favourites and is also my desktop BG! Excellent job!

Colours are stunning and the effects are pretty. They work well with the character.
One thing I would say is that the character being central makes the wall look a bit funny, but that's not a major issue.
