Returning to my root >. < grunge.
I tried to add bit of scenic and grunge together.
But somehow grunge prevails ^___^
all was done in vector, except for the grungish bit >.>
, the scan was vectored to have different look ^_^.
To kinda give that brownish feeling in autumn >.< , BTW color my looks weird on some monitor , this for LCD 1000:1

Well I finally got a chance to download it at home. This piece is excellent. I love the subtle effects you have created and the vector feel of the figure is wonderful. I'll be putting this one in my favs :D.

Another beautiful vector wall, Calisqo. *_* I love the way her skin really shapes her while the rest blends in. The background is an amazing abstract/grunge piece... *so jealous* Nicely done. Only complaint I might have is her index finger on her left hand is a bit sharp or "box-y"... stands out against the smoothness of everything else.
Anyway, I'd be crazy not to fav this. ^^

It looks amazing, I like how you altlered the scan to blend in with the bg, and then tried to use two different texture effectsc to create the wall. Best part: the japanese text and butterflies put in, really helps give it a unique look of its own. I luv ^uu^ *fav*

calisqo- this walpaper is freakin incredible. allow me to explain- this color you used is one of my least favourite colors but in your hands i love the background. i am drawn to the girls face and hands; her pose and the aura she eminates is simply breath-taking. but the overall reason i am so excited abiut this wallpaper is the details in the bg. damn...

you say 1000:1 contrast ratio.. my monitor is only at a pathetic 350:1!! >.< but really I don't know how contrast ratio works =p
the wallie still looks totally great to me nonetheless~ just made it my wallie lol although my monitor is 1280x1024 that weird resolution.. maybe you can make one just for my resolution? heh
I really like this style and stuff.. don't know what I can really comment lol

You're really kicking butt with your simple wallpaper designs, Cali! XD The soft and dirty BG mixed with butterflies and Japanese text looks charming and also shows that not all grunge walls has to be filled with angst and sorrow! ;) I can't believe the cute character is actually part of the BG, very cool idea and really delivers in originality! Damn, I guess simplicity is the best choice when it comes to walling! Haha, anyhoo great job Cali, wunda wat's gonna be your next original idea? (*ponders*) :)

Despite many people commenting on it being too brown, I personally think this piece is gorgeous!
Ok, I do admit that the thumbnail makes it look like one big brown blur. But like you said, thumbnails are evil. XP
This one is a really intricate piece with much detail. I bet I can find 1001 different shapes on this wall! XD
Lolz, the more I look at it, the more I like it! I really do believe that this brown colour is perfect.

You have awesome ideas for wallpapers. Maybe the colour is not my favourite, but when combined with this particular scan, the wallpaper looks really great. My current desktop wallie from now on.

Oiyy Cal~ Another lovely wall from you *sighs with envy* It looks great! I love the rich brown texturing... not very common 'round here... texture's beautiful, and personally I like the font a LOT. Is it Century Gothic? That's gotta be one of my favorite fonts in the world... And I like what you did to the katakana in this wall. In the Reminiscence Wall it was really too faded to read... so you get a vague idea that it's there but it didn't really add anything to the wall. This one looks nice. (It reads flashback right? Very appropriate *^.^*) Can't wait until you fix it up for usage on your userpage. And *points accusing finger* you should've nominated it for Simple-ism's featured gallery! Hrrrmphh. I'll have to do it for you then. Lazy bones~ *hugs*

I love the way this wp seems to have a simplicity about it while a second glance should that it's anything but - there's so much work and detail put into it. I have to say that it's the utter warmth that seems to pour out of this work that drew me to it though. So pretty *faves*
