I know!!!! I know!!! I haven't made a wallpaper for ages! Naw, let's just say it was for 2 whole months! So
very sorry, too busy with school events and activities. Even when I had free time, I don't get any inspiration for
walling. At least now I had a little u_u Very little indeed. Oh well, it was better than nothing ne?
Enough bullsh*t, this VERY "NEW" wallpaper was started off since, erm *counts* ah, last holiday which was 3
weeks ago or so. I couldn't finish it until today.
Why did i pick this scan? Er, because, I like Lucy from Elfen Lied. And she looked nice over here, holding the music box
that plays this song "Lilium" in it. The background, was sort of "traced" from the original scan. It
took me forever. Please don't bother the roof or the tress trees.. they look retarded ._.
(Scan was from minitokyo! I've forgotten who uploaded it but thanks for sharing it here ^_^)
All together there's 58 layers.

Err... the background suits the scan well to me... even though you can tell the difference between anime CG and Photoshop cg... but who cares? It's a nice combination. anyway...

Most animes you view have painted backgrounds with cel-style characters anyway, I don't see why it couldn't go with a wall -

i wubb the bg very very much .. it looks painted and soft. but the grass part near the gate ish a lil weird .. maybe because you need to add sand under it ? XD ~hee~ dunno
and the gate .. it look so pwettie :D the sky and the birds .. all of the bg looks like you use watercolor to paint it XD eto .. but i don't reallie like the scan .. she kinda look sharp compared to the soft bg.
nonetheless .. i still wubb the wallie XD *steals yumi's walling skillz* ~weeeeeee~

Excellent work! The colors, the background, the scan, everythign is great! The gate looks a little flat for some reason but it isn't bad at all. Nice work on the trees and the character is so clean! Nice work!

Actually, I'm going to have to strongly disagree (respectfully, though) with ShiNN84. The contrast between the sharp scan and the soft background is only partially noticeable. And in my opinion, I actually like this subtle contrast. It's obvious that Lucy is the focal point of the image; not the background. The background should exist only to compliment the main image (unless, of course, the background is the focal point, but I doubt that's the case here, haha). The colors flow together very nicely, and while I haven't seen Elfen Lied for myself, Lucy's expression seems believable to the naked eye. The resolution, a true 4:3 aspect also wins a brownie point with me. Though I personally would have preferred a 1600x1200 image, I'm sure this will stretch w/ Bell method very nicely.
I'm adding this to my favorites' list.
