I like the concept of this wall - clean and elegant, the crispness of the swords contrasting with the soft amount of grunge on the sides. The color choice is also nice, because it gives that feeling of age, and the uniformity means you're drawn instantly to the sharp black swords and the text. There seems to be a large vertical white space in the background text, I would fix the spacing so that 'line' disappears because it's a bit distracting. Also, Courier is a bit boring, perhaps a more elegant serif font to match the elegant calligraphy, like a Palatino or a Felix Titling would work better. All in all, great job!
Artist Comment
Wasn't sure if I should submit this one to this category since it is only slightly relevant but anyway.... This started out as a tribute to my latest obsession... Jin. However Jin never ended up in it. After I got all the detailing, Kanji on the side there ganked from screen caps from the Last Samurai DVD, the translations of that kanji to create texture in the background, and the swords which is from Samurai Champloo official artwork.... Well after that I just thought that the addition of an actual character would clutter what I thought to be a pretty good design on its own... So here it is.

Nice design, but the eh.. kanji aren't exactly arranged in the most artistically pleasing manner.

Simple, Elegant & Clever
Bushido displays particular beauty for lovers of blades and classic Samurai culture! Some things are best left untainted by screen caps and this particular artwork hits the mark beautifully even without Jin! Well done Orchidnoir! :) -
Bushido make me remeber the last samurai
if this wall with a samurai it would be better~
