Yeah, dont ask me about the name of the wallpaper. I couldnt think of a name at all so I put in the name of my cats
favorite food.
Full View Recommended. :) Small details are awesome and you'll see the wall doesnt suck nearly as much as the thumbnail. :)
I spent about 3-4 hours on and off over 2 days on this. I was never able to make myself quite happy with the final result. Even now I feel the image lacks focus. If I get enough suggestions, I will remake the piece and submit it(with a decent name).
I know I use the grass brushes quite a lot so I decided it was time to somewhat break out of the photoshop grass brush mode. How was I to do it and still get a grassy, leafy feel to my work? I found some pictures of ivy vines and had them strewn all over the ground. I then decided to throw in the grass brush anyway to give the ground some variety in its look.
I wanted an image with the girl commanding some power which she is just discovering. I thought of so many things to do.. but they all seemed overdone. I settled for tendrils of light and some spiral energy balls to break from the ground around her. I still feel I could do a better job on the spirals.
The planets and galaxies were offset by a handbrushed set of black clouds. I created my own star brush to fill in some overly black spaces.

the grass definitely looks good because it's different from what we usually see...nice experimentation! your background is very lovely...like all of those planets...but i understand what you mean about the spirals because i still don't feel like she's commanding power. sorry, i don't have any other critiques.. ^_^'

I'm speechless. It's just so cosmic the way everything just works so well together. Although I do have a concern with her eyes. They seem kinda lost and don't really show much emotion.

I can see your great efforts in making this wallie... and of cos this is another great masterpiece of yours! But in my opinion... i can't agreed with the glowing swirl around, hm... not really merge in logically way (Man... why i look for logical in wallie!) other than that juz fit perfectly for me!!

oh my suni, i'm starting to be one of your loyal followers..just gorgeous.. my only comment on this piece is her position, i think she should be a bit farther to the left, just my preference. but the wall seriously looks gogeous.. oh just to add, i think her wings are a bit high.. maybe you can lower it a bit.. by the way, how did you do the planets? i dunno how to make one.. help..hehe

Heh, anyway. You seem to favor the swirls; I noticed you used them on quite a few of your walls. But they're really used nicely on this one. They're glow and color really compliments the image. There are just a few rough edges, most likely from the cloud brushes, in the sky BG that look a little awkward. They're right underneath her wing.
