I had a really hard time on this wall.. spent like some weeks on it..and couldn't get anywhere...a lot of people told me it looks weird....yes i know, and that i should've redrawn the whole background again...but then i was too lazy and i had spent a whole load of time on the background...i just had to redraw komugi's blanket a little....(you can really tell where that is...) if you can't tell then.. oh well that's good XD i asked a ton of people for suggestions..and i couldn't "fulfill" them...so sorry guys....i was texturizing like crazy for this wall...used some stock images from http://sxc.hu and the patterns/textures or something were thanks to tama-neko! ^_^ skillzpay also gave me some pointers, and told me to put something on the floor also...so it wouldn't look so plain. well it's all good, because it looks exactly like the picture i had in my head for once! XD although i know the shadows suck...but im also very proud for actually trying to draw the house...*pats self on back*
p.s. - ahhh...sorry skillz i couldn't get anywhere and had to submit it......i was too miserable!! ... uh.... i'll dedicate this wall to you then! ^_^'
EDIT : the brushes i got from all over the place! .. update this part later..if i have time..

It's adorable --- almost too adorable. >_>
While the scene (trees/Japanese setting, ect) may be a bit cliche, it has its own unique style to it. I'm really loving the sun. :D The only thing I do find weird is the grass near the room. It's heavily detailed while the horizon is not. Maybe some smudging/brushing of the grass to make it blend a bit more would work. Anyway, overall it's nicely done.Now to go cleanse my eyes with some bloody grunge... *_*

i really like what you did here...your wall is so adorable. i like how you made the screen doors a little see through so you can barely make out the sakura trees, and the shadows over the inside of the room was a nice touch. and i'm not too sure where you redrew the blanket (is it the right corner part?), because the lines didn't look too straight...or maybe that's just part of the scan. sorry! and i also luved how the outside background has that "cartoony" feel...i'm not sure if that's the right word, but i like the look of it. the wood floors and the frames of the screen doors don't have too much texture, but i think that's the look you were going for? i really think your wall is very cute! :D

the vey 1st thing I noticed was the scan. kinda blurry. then, my eyes went all over the wallpaper. looks pretty nice so far. with a few more attention given, I found out the green hill back there could use some work. same for the tree. and the last thing I noticed was the sliding door. well as a typical japanese house, its a sliding door. but the floor... doesnt suggest it can be slide... >_<
anyway, all in all a very cute and a nice work indeed~ ^_^

Aww i wish the whole bg in the outside wondeow were more cartoony and vectorish rathere than blurred and smudged on in some parts but hey you really made a swell wallpaper, plus theres a magical book i can see in here! Nice job and a fav from me! XD

the overall wallie looks great. i think the blob of green-ness supposingly grass could've been done in a different way cause the grass ending with the grass brush and continuing with the green looks a little odd. the sakura petal on komugi has some rough edges and some sakura petals on the sakura tree has weird dark outlines. but it's still a very bright and cheery wallie nonetheless.

It looks better than before and I'm definitely liking the whole vectored look although as previously mentioned the grass in the foreground does seem a bit weird compared to the rest of the wall. And the shadows could still use a little bit more work in being adjusted. But outside of this I think this is really cute and all that time being miserable helped :D -

im impressed with the cging of the house. i only needs a shadow behind the doors as the sun is behind them. the deck is very well done.
but the hill should display some of the grassy texture instead of being a solid block.
even though, it looks like a lot of work went into this ^_^' so you earned my fav
