Oh yes, abstract :nya: . View in full view :nya: .
It's been a while since my last abstraction and I felt the need to create something along the lines of energy and lots of light. So, upon coming across this scan and it's wonderful Magna Carta character design goodness, I felt it would work best surrounded in yummy abstract. Keeping with the colors of the scan, I used a red to yellow gradient fade along with a few lighting effects and tweaking to add the distinguising color. Of course there is the abstract part itself with all of it's swirling goodness :nya:
Lots of twirls, sparkles, and energy, no? Sparkles were added behind the character on an effect basis. Some sparkles are also in front of the character to create a more dynamic motion with the sparkles, but not enough to detract from the character itself. I created an energy source coming out of his hand that gently swirls upward and creates light the reflect upon the clothing on that side of his body. Kept the little tech decorations out of this one because they just seemed to make the wall look off and took away from the beauty of it's simplicty in design.
Anyway, the light you see in his hand is supposed to represent the energy of one's soul. His soul's energy then is creating all of the other bits of energy you see surrounding his body and the area around him. Some parts of the can may look a bit off, but if you are looking at his hair, it's the highlights and I can't really change that without it looking more so strange or it's his sword swirl that had indents like that in the original drawing XD . Anyway, do enjoy XD .

i love the little abstractness you put behind the character -- it brings the eyes to the character <3
although the bg might be a little too plain, it looks good .. simple yet elegant? x3
the character looks a little rough here and there, and the sparkles look a little rough ...

Moving along, I love the abstract. It's just an overall nice wall... I want to say beautifully simple in design, but it's not really 'simple'. However, as ShySakura said, the character looks a bit rough in places --- and it stands out because of the smoothness of the abstract. I don't know how you would go about blending it in to the BG though.
Still, very nice. ^_^
Great job as expected Tantaga! The bg is simple and elegant as shyxsakura said. But it's a little too blank for me. But that's just me. It's just because I like bright and sparkly wallpapers, and this one sort of made me want more brightness and sparkles! XD

Hmm... it's nice to see some good abstract walls. I've always wondered how to make those abstract things cause they look
really cool.
You've made nice and correct use of the sparkles, like the ones in her hands. There's been too many wallies with overuse
of sparkles, so I think your judgement is very good.
I kinda agree that it's still a bit 'blank' but still it's pretty effective.
Anyway, great work^^
simple and elegant yet i feel that the black spaces around the character makes it less of interest though. but i do admire the nice swirly background you have indeed created for the character and it is very much integrated. however, adding fractals or flares that shoot out towards the black space should be able to fill it in and give more depth towards the character as well as the wall. just a meek suggestion.
edit. i forgot to mention that simplicity is beauty. ^^ so don't overdo anything. :)

wow! i always loved your abstract wallys:) those shapes and colors are always perfect:) the only thing i dont like perhaps is the black bg..but the scan fits perfectyl to those abstract shapes:)
I have to say, that's an excellent abstract you made there. It really compliments the scan as well as the placement of it.
