Hikaru Ichijyo (Rick Hunter) climbing in his sporter aircraft over Ataria Island (Macross). SDF1, the gigantic space ship, is visible in Macross City beneath.
The first of my attempts to learn how to paint more alive looking scenery, and faster than usual, not obsessing much with details. Took about 2½ hours in Photoshop CS. Partial references for the backdrop and for Hikaru.
