Artist Comment

Loved this b&w character sketch from the Production Book. Talked myself out of walling it for nearly three months...but I cracked so I vectored it. Used an "official" wall from Ynot.co.jp for Haydee's robe and ::+ messy blend(?) project:: her signature hair. Used brushes & texture for her inner robe.

The bg is supposed to look like the Count's "estate", but I got too lazy to really think about it ^_^' . I wanted her to look monumental. The widescreen version does a better job of that.

Suggestions and comments welcome.

    Great job on the vector. I think the title font could use some work, it looks alittle bland, but it still works. Nicely done blueSake.

    I really like the robe. I think that's really cool. And the background is simple and doesn't distract from the image. Very nice.

    Oooh, another lovely patterned wall. Some of the patterns in her dress are funky! But I love the ones in her hair. And I love, love, love the simple background. Nice job! ^.^

    its a simple but stylized wall. really like the stark contrast of haydee's colorful clothes against the stark bg. the vector is done very well. though the whole wall feels a bit blurry.
    other than that, very nice work +fav

    Very nice indeed. I like how the character's variety of patterns is balanced out by the smooth and flowing nature of the background. I like the fact that the background is a dull beige. She stands out more that way. Great job on this.

    looks very good. has some of the japanese textures. the art style has a old japanese feeling to it .
