This is for the contest over at Anime Paper, so obviously the image comes from there.
The idea of changing the image to black and white came when I was vectoring it in color. I thought the faces looked kind of cool white, and I went with it. Originally the wall had lots of color, but then it looked too random and messy, so I made it blue, kind of like the song. Anyways, the wall was kind of simple, I just used brushes for most of the background.
This image may not be published elsewhere without explicit permission from mooling89. Minitokyo, members and affiliates will do all to protect it's members from such copyright violation.

Fantastic vector work. And good use of brushes. Overall, it looks great --- nothing to critique in my opinion. ^_^

I
like the monochromacity of this work, the blue and greys are really effective
(although I also associate Spike with reds and browns). I like the contrast
between the clean character lines and the messy background. The little cloud
icon next to "Pushing the Sky" is a little bland, though :P
this is really cool i like the style a lot. the blues blacks and whites are really nice and the paint splatters are a good touch. I dont really like the butterflies but its no biggie that just a matter of persoanl taste. This will be on my dsektop for a long time. Good work!

Background is very stylish and the work altogether is something much different from the usual stuff at Minitokyo.A favorite from me.
Excellent job on the movie here! Never saw Vincent lookin so good - he owes you a thank you! LOL The quote there and the subtlety of the butterflies makes this piece!
The whole wall comes together. the lines force attention on spike and vincent. I also really like the color chioce it brings out a sense of urgency along with the character poses.
the background is fine the pic is fine.. but doesn't it need more colors.. sooooo dark...
