Yeahhh, it's a manga I'm reading!!
It's called "Basara". The girl on the right is the heroin and her name is Sarasa.
It's a very nice serie, and I recommend it as a good shoujo (yes... I'm a boy, and then, what the problem! I love all mangas, shounen and shoujo! ^^)It's mainly a manga but I've heard there has been an anime but it didn't succeed very much (I don't know why because it's a very good adventure, many good characters, etc.). They stopped the anime before the end.
In France we are at number 19 over about 30 (because it's finished in Japan... it's an old serie in fact... published in Japan in the 90') and the manga has great fans in France, so even the author has written a text just for us in the manga. nice!
I would tell you the whole story, find it on internet:
It's about propheties and tyranny.
Sarasa will have to change the minds and fight against the kings's tyranny as the predicted One. The kings are of the same family, and by fortune, on of them, the Red King, Shuri, will fall in love with Sarasa... But they met them without knowing their pass each other... so the don't know they're ennemies... A complex story will begin...I'm really in this manga since it's very first beginnig in France, 5 years ago..... sometimes I'm really fond of mangas.... I know even the unknowed ones.....
I even have the 2 artbooks and the ost of basara... whaouu! Nice musics, very quietful sometimes. I confirm that it's good. -

Have yet to complete the manga so I may be wrong, but this "girl" on the right (left) looks like Asagi, the Blue King...
