Artist Comment
OK I completely failed at coming up with a good title. It was a slow process of evolution and trying out idea, but I've decided it's as good as finished. I'm happy with it this way, considering it's the first wall I've made in more than six months :P
It's a Pleinair scan from the scans section on AP... sorry I forgot who uploaded it and am too tired to find out. Thanks to whoever it was. After seeing a slew of cool Disgaea walls on the site I wanted to make one too! I even tried to construct the entire thing myself, which I did using only stock photos as reference.. and the lantern >.> The rest is brushwork, textures and geometry. I decided to go for a simple exterior, just a tree modelled in the bonsai style. Then I limited the colour range so the red would stand out... didn't want anything else to look too prominent for consistency and visual impact. I'm happy with how it turned out, thanks to the suggestions and feedback from various members. You'll see I've not left any blood on Pleinair in the end. She's too graceful to get splashed with the bodily fluids of her massacred enemies :P
I'll let Crash and Tate know I'm still alive and shortly alternative resolutions, including widescreen, will be on the Fragments site :D

This is one of the most brilliant walls I have seen!!
I love it to bits, it's original the colours are brilliant and the use of the bonsai tree was masterfully pulled off..your walling skills are superb!! I wish I could do this.

That's a very unique idea, Furikuu. Plenair's a strange girl, but I like what you've done with her in this. The bunny that she frequently holds is a nice touch, as well.

Very professional. You really did a great job in constructing the background. I do have one thing I would like to mention, though. The blood splatters look convincing, but they don't look like the type of splatters you would see from a swordfight. The blood on the walls would typically be long streaks instead of dense semi-round shapes because the blood would either be cast-off from the blade as it swings thru the air or it would possibly be arterial spray. If it were arterial spray there would be lots of fine dotting, almost like the airbrush. Its a minor point about the bloodstains but your wallpaper is so good, the only thing to point out is the minor things.
