Nothing much to say other than itz been ages since i've last made a wallpaper >__< LOL! life sux when u get older >__>
neways...the idea behind this is to depict the mysterious world that aria lives in through sorta like a split dimension/world interpretation....blah whatever....
The original scan was a LQ 800x600 image so i tried my best to get it look better...ah well

Oh wow!! :) ZZ put something up!! Yay! I really like it ^__^ Although I do think the BG is really cliche, I like the color scheme (blue and purple always look good together). I like how there are...two BGs? ^^; They look like they're split by the column she's standing behind. Anyway, I really like it! Fav!!

this one is well done, I don't know the original scan but I guess you cleaned it well because it looks very nice, for the background , it's a beatifull sky, but even if you decided to put the 2 worlds, there is something weird ;
I mean ok worlds are different, but the type of working on it is different too, the right side is very modernish starlight sky , while the left side is like the old wall, on single brushes.
well maybe it is just my impression.
but the fact that there are different skies doesn't bother me.
and the render of the wall is definitely great.

Absolutely splendid wallpaper.
Love the way you seperated the 2 sides into different bg's.
Love the right side effects and colours, very well done.
Also nice rayon effect with those purple lines, seem like some radiation was coming from the vortex in the sky.
The left side is very beautiful, pretty dramatic imo.
The girl is so lovely, her smile and innocent expression would be all i need to be happy again if i ever get sad.
