Okay, I know it's been forever since you submitted this drawing, but when I saw it (I decided to drop by your page ^_^) I just had to comment.
Okay, the flower first. The bloom at the bottom of the picture is absolutely gorgeous. Very realistically done, and well shaded. Next I wanted to mention the vines; again, the shading is great. The placement and the curvature of them is also very appealing; twisting gracefully and placed throughout the paper as to avoid boring white spots. The petals were also a lovely little touch to add in there; another space filler that went very well with the theme of the picture. The way some of the thorns stick out more than others is also pretty cool looking; it adds to the drawing, I think.
As for the girl...well, she definitely follows your style. Elegant styled clothing, intricate tattoos/adornments, beautiful eyes, serene facial expression, hair floating...yeah. I love the boots and their design; might not be the most comfortable thing, but they certainly look cool. You've mastered the effects of the wind in this drawing; the fluttering overskirt and hair (especially love the piece in front of her face), the petals flying all over, and the angle of her little cape-like thing. The leaf design around her thigh...what is it for, if I may ask? A decoration, a tattoo, etc. The short skirt or shorts look great underneath the overskirt and would probably provide good mobility. The gloves are also cool; neat design, and I like the way they end around the knuckle area. But one thing I really like is the little arm band she's got; for some reason, those fascinate me, especially when on a cute character like her. Her pointed little elf ears are awful cute, too; and I just love the big eyes!
I think the smudginess you mentioned only seems to show the wind (but that's just me). The only negative thing I have to say is that the character looks kind of...flat. I'm not sure how else to describe it. Anyway, very nice, MikaAmazoness; I hope to see more of your work soon~
