a general wallpaper to give you guys heads up on me starting a website ...nuclearseasons.com... shhh don't tell anyone...
now the wall: it is photo manupulation, but once i get /if I ever do/ an aplet, I'll redraw everything in b&w... for the wall I was really puzzled if I should use the yellowish or should i keep the grayscale look... anyway i think it turned out good with the color giving it a bit more recent feel... like it is happpening now instead of the past feel that a b&w gives.. aaah my english is dying late at night... *goes over to work on entrance page*

Enjoy and reflect...

A tad bit on the bright side, at least the top half is, but I that should be expected I suppose when DC is bringing mass destruction to a city near you.
Funny little title that you added on there, like the whole concept overall.

  11. smilebit May 31, 2005

i find it ironic. well at least to me. that the two most beautiful things are the sun, something i am not able to look at without hurting my eyes, and the explosion created by a nuclear bomb, something that hurts, and has hurted countless people. thank you for posting this.

I agree the colour gives a kinda warm glow. Grayscale would be boring XP
    Very nice.

I'd say that the yellow has more character, and more of aneerie impact than a pure greyscale wallpaper would have had.

I'll be sure to book mark your site when it's all ready and open to the public :)

I rather like the irony in the title. And I agree, the yellow gives more feeling. A more desolate, ugly feeling that war gives.

    Nice job.

Great wall. I like it because of the contemporary style you've adopted. Very modern and sleek. Good work Dernier.

the touch of yellowish green/ greenish yellow is great~feels more interesting than plain b&w~nice work

Wow, the city looks reallie smoggy from the nuclear explosion, DC! The yellow really brightens up and emphasizes the "Kaboom" factor of the doomed city and kinda reminds me of wat happened to Chernobyl! :)

    great concept.
    The color is just nice.
    very reflective i think >.>
Awesome work as usual great work ^_^

    Spring...
man i'm curintly experiencing SUMMER...and sweating like a pig...
great wall though...i likt the colours,...why do you always use such NICe colours!!!!?

  20. levezzali Jun 04, 2005

Oh! is that a dream coming true?! no it's just an image... I have a dream to once see a nuclear explosion... not that I want everyone dead, I just like the effect of the explosion.. I have some images of nuclear tests somewhere in my HD if you want... XD

Anyway, the coloring is perfect, I just think that you could get more contrast in the explosion itself cause it is a bit faded away... but I think that's what you wanted huh?

Have a nice weekend and see you around!

ah a wallpaper on spring. well mom used to do "spring cleaning" perhaps this is spring cleaning for the 21st century. ;)

i agree with the others this wall works better than a monocrome one would, i think.

the wall: you really set up the scene well. the impending harbringer of mass destruction[yes, finally] is starting in the far background and working it's way to the front [the viewer]. can you imagine seeing such an "event" wow.

i really like this wallpaper but wish perhaps there could be people on the ground getting smelted [not sure if that's a word] a la Terminator 2. but that is an irrational request since it would be forced and wouldn't work in this wall.

im really digging this project of yours DernierCri- i can't wait to see how it goes down.

If Something Like This Were To Happen In One City It Would Lead To WorldWide Chaos Since The Radioactivity Wouldn't Just Stay There It Would Follow The Current Of The Wind And Also People Would Be Scared Not Knowing If Another Nuke Will Be Launched Or Not.... Devastation On It's Way!!! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>#x---> BoooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!
