Samurai Champloo, Mugen Wallpaper
Samurai Champloo Series Mugen Character

The image came from an ad for the Japanese DVDs and after a bit of fixing, it was good to go. I imitated the style of the covers, with the diagonal design and heavy use of patterns (some henna tatoos and Chinese paper cuts I had lying around XD).

I love the subdued brown-and-maroon color palette you've chosen for this wallpaper, it keeps everything tied together. And the diagonally oriented patterns is a nice touch. The only problem I see is that Mugen matches a little too well into the background, and doesn't quite stand out enough to provide focus.

So cool. This totaly fits the style of Champloo. I love the color and the patterns are so well blended into the backround, it almost looks like cloth. It's a great wallpaper of this great series.

This has to be my favorite Samurai Champloo wallpaper yet. The patterns look awesome with this, and Mugen blends perfectly. Not much to say but good job! :D

That's the real Samurai Champloo style! Awesome job, the "textures" and the style you applied just perfectly match with Mugen, this is really a good wallpaper. Oh and I love the fact you left the upper left corner empty, that area is for the icons >=D.

wooo~fav wall of the week for sure
I love quite everything about it, the color scheme is very fitting and blends every element perfectly. I love the diagonal brushing and texturing work, great pattern choice.
I don't agree with tama though, I feel as though Mugen fits perfectly like this, more contrast and it would have separated him too much from the bg.
The text is really cool but maybe I would have done something more to it, the katakanas feel a little plain at some places. I would have erased some parts with a dirt brush, and maybe add sometihng of the same texture on the sides, cause now the text feels as though its concentrated on one place.

Hahah, is Mugen can be categorized as samurai??? He's more like a breakdancer with sword. He looks like a rapper in this pic. Great work.
