I love the "Serial Experiments Lain" style.. when I saw this pic, I just had to make a wall with it... so I did.^^ By the way, here's the link: http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/23375/
I decided to keep it simple enough, as in I didn't overload the wall with extra details... But I must admit that the longest part was to find the just right light and shade eefect for the character. Especially her face and her eyes.. I wanted them to stand out.
Overall, I think that the effect I created corresponds to the one I wanted and am actually pretty satisfied... *smile*

Very nice job! The background fits very nicely with the scan. Only problems with it are I think the text is uneeded and I think you made Lain a bit too zombie-ish, but maybe that's just me. The lighting is well done and nice choice of color. Great job with this wall and keep up the good work.
nice, i like the scan, and i like the mood coming out of this wall, though it's somewhat scary
i'm kinda wondering what the French text is about... lol, oh,
talking about text, about the one you put at the bottom... the place where you
put the "..." struck me as odd... i think i would have placed it after
the verb "be", can't really explain why 
oh
well, maybe it's just a question of opinion, but i still find it weird to put a
kind of pause where you did... ok, me annoying you with just a little detail

This is so awesome. I like the lighting. It really compliments the character! The bg really fits too. I want it as a fav!

anyway, because theres such a sharp contrast between the scan edges and the light source directly behind her, the edges of extraction of the girl should be slightly blured so she doesnt look so 'cut' out.
like the idea of the words across the wall and the door of light, makes for dramatic framing of the scan.
