This may be the last wallpaper I'll sumbit in a while since I'm going to have my computer checked tomorow. It's a laptop and it keeps shutting down on me...
Anyway, something weird happened with this wall. I loved the scan (lookie, Kon in a willtle tuxedo) But when I cropped it...I didn't know how to make it work....So at first, I left the backround white.....but that was a little too plain, so I just added grunge brushes to add some texture and a border around it.

Simple, but I'm pleased with the overall resutl :D

hey nice little wall you made ^^
my only critique to this one is that as you said you cropped it.
the cut out makes it looks kind of werid and kind of out of wack.
still I like that pic and thats a good bg to match it with the scan. ^^
    good work.
*9.3 and Grade A* for a nice looking wall. ^^

bleach wallie~! <3 hmmm, ya, i dun like the crop on the left side and the border as well. its betta w/o them, but not bad. nice Bleach wallie ^^

  3. ayaki May 19, 2005

hey, this looks pretty interesting ^^
but the cut out makes it looks kinda weird....cuz it just like suddenly their body parts are missing...
maybe add some design around it, so it doesn't look like that..hehe
but i think the overall compositing is quite nice ;)
    keep it up!~ :)

Hmmm you should have left that grwy area white and duplicate the layer of the main image, gaussian blur it to 6.0 then overlay it to make the image more HQ so it wouldnt look weird plus the grunge could have more on placement and design instead of being cluttered all around. The wall is nice but could be better made...Keep it up Electrastar! :)

I like the composition of this wall!
But why is ichigo looking at his finger? Did he just pick his nose? ;p
i do look a little strange with the cut how about a black line to wrap it up? ^_^

Oh I just love this new Wallie from you dear.
The Characters are looking very cool and they fit great with the Background. Its a shame

  9. zephyrsky May 19, 2005

I really like it and I think the grungy background works relatively well with it!

I do have to agree about the crop. I would suggest tying it up somehow, maybe putting a couple pixel black border around the picture... . kinda framing it and hiding the bits where body parts cut off

Cool and interesting concept of Bleach. The characters are quite not fitting in but the grunge background makes it look good together.

ooooh really like your grunge work, your grunge has been noticeably better these last couple of walls. The scan....well I don't want to beat a dead horse since everybody has voiced the same thing. However I think it might've been better to extract the three to the left of Ichigo and brought them down level with him, and still somewhat behind Ichigo. That way you wouldn't have that open space on the left corned and it'd be more balanced. Besides that though this is solid work, would like to see you doing some awesome walls with scans rather than manga ones cause your grunge work is pleading for it! :D

I really like the Bleach images used in the wallpaper it's one of my favorites, but I never did find a good wallpaper until now using it. Very nice job using the grays and the black and whites to make the image really shine out. Awesome job!
