^^ new one. a product of 12 whole weeks of walling experience XD hmm thats about 3 months ^_^'
eh, im not that experienced then...
well original idea here is its just after midnight during summer cause the sky lightens at the edge of the horizon but the suns still far off. i decided no moon for this one so i made the stars really stand out more. some sort of resemblance to milky way >.>
grass has many layers to get a fog receding effect. water is very calm, didnt want to make huge waves.
the typography bit is the weirdest thing ive done cause theres no moon in the wall but theres a moon in the title lol.

hope ya like ^^

EDIT: spelled eternity wrong o_0 thanks to aria and veronika for pointing it out ^_^'
EDIT: dimmed the stars near the horizon. thanks to shinn and rsk ^^

    Excellnt job!

Such intriging wallpaper. So far just about everyone of your wallpapers I've seen are magnificent and show a great theme. Unlike most wallpapers, the person and the background go together very well and make the picture look even better. If I had a better vocabulary, I would be using it now on just about all the work you've done. You could seriously go into the advertising business and make lots of money. I'm serious! XD

  3. Hikaruu May 16, 2005

0_0 This is some excellent work here WOW It's so simple, yet so beautiful. I love your works, kai ^_^

  4. Rebel-Soul-Kaze May 16, 2005

A lot of good comments is one of your best walls i think.

I think the grass look very great, like excentric says, not too many ppl can work good with it,the fog gives more detail into it.

I have to agree with shinn about the starfield, but u can fix that ^^

Now i wanna see your 2 walls for the MT Character Classes contest >.< (good luck with them)

Nice wallpaper! The night sky along with the tiny stars look awesome. Everything seems so peaceful. Good job!

  6. Eve May 16, 2005

Ohh!! This is sooo pretty!! ^^

    The stars always amaze me. . . I love how you did them. .. and nice choice of image. It looks so hot. ^^;;

You do backgrounds so well! Thank you for sharing!

Oooooh... well, you managed to create the very early morning before dawn effect... *smile* And your sky is starry, as usual.^^

The title is interestlingly written. The moon effect really is special... but different from the huge planets you so love! *grin*

The only comment I'd have to make are the fireflies... I think you could've played with the fact that are extremely light beings, almost inexistant.... Right now, they look like tiny meteors... a bit too heavy-like. But then, it's only my impression...

Great job on the whole, though, Kai!!

Very pretty wallie, i love the starry bg you did, and the grass and the fireflies are great as well! Very cute choice of pic as well. Great job, keep it up!

  9. kara May 16, 2005

Wows! Very beautiful! I really like the glow flies you added and the atmosphere's really great^^ What I don't like is the grass, I know you're trying to create distance... but I think the contrast might be a bit too different. But still a really great wall^^ +fav

  11. DMNY May 17, 2005

Sublime and peaceful, I've loved the way you had brought again this nostalgia and certain peacefulness in your latest wallie. I liked that...They are quite "light" (as opposed to dark).
    Good work again Kai.

  12. RainOfStars May 17, 2005

Wow.. This is beautiful. The background looks so nice. I wish I could do something like that.
The sky is so mysterious and it just fits so well with the girl. ^^

You know whats going to happen when I comment on your walls ^_^;; Star field is WAY to repetitve Dun like the text. I learned never to put text on my walls unless I absolutely have to. Water has to have more textured. The grass are a bit too oversized. The scan has to be cleaned coz its way to grainy. Heh, I'm on a hurry can't really point all of the mistakes =_=

  14. Devilet May 17, 2005

    Wow, for 3 months, that's just amazing ... o__o
It's quite simple, but in a good way, and high quality work, adding to favs.

  15. hykyit May 17, 2005

Wooow....Again....Impresssed!!! I didnt know that you could make grass so nicely with the default photoshop brush!! XD And the stars...Wow~!! So nice!! Love the fireflies and the font too!! Another masterpiece by you, kai-san~!! Waiting for more of your nice works~!! ^^

  16. destati May 17, 2005

I really like the serene feeling of the wall. Very soothing. The text effect looks nice, and the little moon is a nice touch (and as mentioned, 'eternity' is misspelled).

Some complaints: there are way too many stars. The light around the horizon, especially in the lower left area, leads me to believe that it is, at the very least, close to dawn/dusk. Nowhere near that many stars should be seen, and the colors in the sky should reflect that as well, more than just the dull glow you have now. Maybe half as many stars as are there now should be visible, and I think that's pushing it. They're also too bright near the horizon.

The water looks flat. It needs more noticeable waves. The grass needs more layers to give it a more organic feeling; right now, it looks really artificial. Adding some more grass inbetween the existing layers would make it look more like a field. Finally, there's something...odd about the scan. I can't quite put my finger on it. It's cute and all, but looks a little grainy or something. Kind of indistinct. The style doesn't quite match the grass or the stars, which are very sharp.

Sky looks empty but the colours are very cool
    like the grass too

Really impressive wallie! I love it XD!
All of the elements in the background are perfect!
The character is nice too! and red color helps making contrast in the picture.
    Thank you very much!

  20. Orangina May 17, 2005

Very beautiful wallpaper, I can't fault it! The spelling mistake has already been pointed out so other than that, it's absolutely flawless to me, I love it.

  21. MuZ0NaZ May 17, 2005

its such a simple wall but fits ilaya (cant spell the name damnit) very well. as shinn said grass could use more layers but still its great.

at least I can set is as my desktop since..I got alot of icons XD
    the starfield looks nice =)
