Nice job on finding a fitting background to paste the scan on. The extraction of the scan is fairly good. You missed out a few areas to erode away the hard outline (e.g. the gourd's top left, the area in between her lock of hair and her left side of the head, the joint between the tail and knee, etc) to achieve the overall soft blend.
The maple leaf brush is overused here. Too much. Some of the sizes of the leaves are mismatched. Some appear unnatural in their spots, translucent leaves in the trees while leaves are so sharp and hard against the light shource?! They are all flat leaves facing us, The effect becomes fake and spoils the general picture. Get a pattern, think of the flow of a wind, now paint a smattering of leaves along the flow. Put another layer, scatter another bunch of leaves on that layer. Distort that layer so that the leaves are like twisted or turned. Then select the areas of leaves that are against light sources, and turn them translucent or with solid centers but faded edges. Every other leaf should be soft as per the whole scheme.
As stated at the start, the background matches the theme and the girl, but you could have erased the fairy castle in the right side. It becomes a distraction when there is no fairies flying around to give a sense of an 'alive' fairy town. Right now it feels dead, which feels weird with the atmosphere. If the castle is desired, one or two fairies flying around, hiding among the grass or paritially behind the roots will have a much greater effect than painting everywhere with a custom brush.

The background matches the char well, both in textures and colours, good job.
This is a very colourful wallpaper indeed, the warm colours are nice to look at.
Nice light effect on the char, looks realistic.
Also the leaves effect all over the wallpaper, almost look like it was part of the original bg, well intergrated.

I feel kinda disapointed on the bg.
Since u did a nice grass , and the scan is really nice too.
The bg kinda degrades the wall, it's a bit grainy.
BUt i must say u picked a nice color on the grass , i like the color combo.
Mayb u can smotthen the bg , to make it much nicer.Nonetheless awesome grass ^_^ i like it a lot

This is the best work I've seen from you... Well, the background kinda fits the character. Anyway, if you didn't know, the girl's kinda cute! At first I thought it was Gaara, but then I saw a girl. Hehehhe. Anyway, if my eyes didn't deceive me... I think I saw a small castle just below right most tree. Great job dude!
