I made this today... and it took about 2 hours to throw together. I am currently working on a collab with Kozu, but I might just let him finish that... and I'll take credit for cleaning the scan :D that and I'm going to be in a Rozen Maiden walling contest, Einna's contest (Which I might submit this to) and then there's Muz's Tsukihime contest. I think I'm going to die if I do wall each one. I had a hard time at first putting the pictures on the ground, and in general making the ground. But I it came out pretty good. Anyway, favorites and comments are appreciated.

Nice work with the scan,the ground looks so nice,about the pics on the floor,u can maybe add more details on them,i dunno maybe is just my idea ^^U,overall is a great idea,more and more high quality SE:Lain walls out there.

Alright, critiqueing time!
Well, the first thing I thought when I saw it was... well... blue. It's very blue... it gives it an... almost underwater feel. Which actually suits the crack brushes (I'm guessing you used brushes for those..) quite well--it gives the feeling of a sunken stone statue, or something. I think the only things I'm not too fond of here are, first, the font... I dunno why, but it just doesn't seem to go with the rest of it, too much. The second thing is the "photos." The first problem with the photos is that they aren't in perspective. It can be difficult to do that, sometimes, but it looks really unprofessional if they aren't. Another problem is that they--or at least some of them--have too much color. As monochrome as the rest of the wall is, it distracts a lot of attention from the focus.
Other than those two areas, it's a pretty good wallie. Nice work, brom-kun.

Okay, the whole composition and colors are astounding... but this wall lacks a tad 'balance'...
the dark parts in the left-bottom corner isn't necessary, imo...
and the upper part of it is really dark... I think it would be better if we can still see hints of a wall, or something that lies behind her....
or is it just me being nitpicky ^_^'
anyways... excellent job... I like it overall.. -

I absolutly love the wall to death Brom! The scan of Lain you used is one I havent seen before, and I really do love it. The background is very suiting, you have really done well on this wall. Love it to pieces. Hope to see more from you!

The ground and the pictures are really well done, the brushing is nice. The text goes well. The cracked texture over Lain is kinda distracting though for some reason, and I think the hair blends in with the black a little too much, but maybe that's just a personal preference. Overall a great job.

Like the grunge work, it's awesome in how it helps set that dark and depressing mood. Wish there was more balance between the darkness on the top half and light on the bottom half. -

the effect is not bad.. but I still dislike having dissolving effects that are too strong
the photos on the ground are great though
but all the eyes.. are cut out? have to show the cutting line to reach the eye though.. with that pair of scissors used
actually the effect on lain.. makes her look kinda scary to me :X

very dark and scary looking wallpaper you have here, wonderfully textured or something of that extent onto the cracks on her body, making it statuelike, the overall wallpaper carries much a gothic and powerful taste of darkness as well as coolness, I think yet again, this is a great wallpaper. However, due to the darkness, I am unable to really relate to this wallpaper. I think it is not one of your best works among the clearer pieces of your other excellent submissions if I may say so. Nonetheless, a great wallpaper.

what a cute wallie. i know "cute" doesnt fit this image but its a word i use to describe everything, literally. anyways back to the wallie :) i really like the cracked and dark effects of the image. it gives is a more intense air of mystery and disaster.
this maybe a very silly question on my part. but is the image of the gril on the floor and the main image one and the same? it seems like it but i am not sure. if that is the case then it looks the death of love or something along that line based on the title of the wallie. yeah. i tend to like to analyize thing. teehee.
sorry i go off sometimes, but a fav for sure ^^
