OK. This was my first vector and it turned out like you'ed expect; bad. I was working from a 640x360 screencap from the opening animation in My Hime, and it seemed cool at that size, but trying to make a trace outta it really exposed it's lack of detail and general uglyness. I pretty much had to create their eyes from scratch and you can see that didn't go too great... I tried to make it less crappy with some blur on the shadows, but it still sucked. So today I just shat out a quick bg for it as I've got a week to finish a new [good] vector wall for a comp.
In the end I guess it was good to get the funamentals of vectoring down and now being able to use Illustrator is also handy.

The vector is great, but the background... is not so great. You should vector the background now because it's just a photograph with nothing done to it, it stands out too much. :P
