it is time...."with teeth" comes out in 2 days!!
ive seriously been waiting for NIN's next album for years and even though i
think it's their worst album to date after listening to it on myspace, its still
a damn solid album! that just goes to show how high of a mark they have
achieved in the past. anyways, to first get this out of the way, here is the
whole album for listen in it's entirety:

i dont know if anyone will notice but this wall is actually the 2nd part of a
set that im kinda starting. the first was a wall that i thought was one of my
best works, yet the reaction here on MT wasnt that strong which was kind of a
bummer haha.
the first wall was my "dissonance" wall which was based on TOOL

this one is the same idea except being in my current NIN craze, its based on some words from them. i pretty much tried to stick to the same composition and style. the text is for the most part, exactly the same, and i have a strong division horizontally in the middle of light and dark. the back was made from stock and the pic used is from tsubasa chronicle, though that really has no relevance to the theme/mood of the wall. it was just a pic i liked and decided to use.

I love it. There are no other words for it. The sharp contrast of light and dark is very eye-catching, the whole mood is fantastic and otherworldly, with the almost carnival feel due to the ferris wheel (?). Very stark and moody, I love the desolate feel. Simply mindblowing work, as always. ^_^

as far as this goes, I have to say I like the dark feel to your work but Dissonance has struck me with awe much more than this one. Not sure why and you know it is not about your quality and technique. I love the background though.

I'm a little disappointed with the new album myself, as well. But the pure giddiness, I think, overrides it... I'm still going to buy it on the first day.
Anyway! I love it. Not much else to say. I love the despairing feel it gives off.

new grungy/dark clamp wall= automatic fav! never would of thought of this scan for something like this, but it works well.

that wall is something worth the writing... I think I have never seen an amusement park wheel thingy (i dunno the word for it) in a wall before...
anyway keep with the series, cause they'll make a great screensaver once they get more..
sorry for that.. i should explain: when the wall I use gets changed with new one it goes to wallpaper heaven, which is my pictures folder, which is my screen saver..

a fantastic TsubasaRC wall! The theme, differs from many others that I've seen and it's one of the main points that makes this wall so wonderful! The background seems to go with the intended mood perfectly. You've created a new and surreal perspective! I love it! A definite fav of course!

Lol, I noticed that. The "dissonance" wallpaper had a very original concept and style (tho for some reason I forgot to fav it, lol well better late than never). Anyway when I was browsing today's submissions the thumbnail of your wall immediately caught my attention, and the first thought that came up in my mind before clicking on the thumb was "I bet my pants that this has to be crapmonster's last wallpaper", haha. You really have your own unique style man, it's like I can always tell if a wallpaper is yours by looking at the thumb, you've got your way to express concepts, ideas and feelings that probably no one else has on this website.
To the wallpaper: it's awesome, it has a dramatic atmosphere, it feels like a dream/nightmare which is slowly fading from the lowest part ... The background and its intensity (and heavy saturation of colours which contributes to convey the dreamy/unreal atmosphere) is amazing, and you did good job putting together 2 stocks and blending them that way (I have the same stock photo of the rotten building on the right, if I am not wrong it's from www.sxc.hu). Concept-wise it's awesomly original, you basically used a scan that would usually be manipulated for "trendwhorish-scenic-lovelove-backgrounds" and reworked it in such a way that it conveys strong emotions such as frustration, powerlessness and separation.
Concluding, this wallpaper gets a 10 out of 10 from me, you surely have a very creative imagination, crapmonster.

Preordered my copy of With Teeth weeks ago.....Don't really like the new single, but my NIN obsession won't let me overlook the CD. ^_^ The wallpaper is lovely as usual. Interesting choice with the carnival. I look forward to more in the series. (I used to run a fanfiction site just for anime fics using NIN lyrics...I'm obsessed too. ^_^)
