I've been strugglin for two days wheter to put this up or not. I didn't take me a whole of time to make.....but to tell the truth, I put it up here for suggestions. The original scan was from http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/97983/ and I remember saying when I first saw that image : I want that as a wallpaper, but it had way to much text....So now that I found a textless version, I tried something new and took out the sky to replace it with a new one. I tried more than one way to blend in the image of the military, but nothing came out quite right. I also tried to put a lens flare on the upper left corner to simulate a sun because it looks like Havoc is staring at it....but that didn't work either....
After all this babling, oh wise wallers of mintokyo, can you help me improve this ?
UPDATE: Thanks to Oracle Angel and KorganoS, I added some blur to make the image
softer. I really like the idea of a sunset, but I have now clue how to make one,
I tried, but it doesn't look very good, so if you have a tutorial handy, I would
appreciate it

You could duplicate the image of them and gaussian blur it to 6.0 and overlay it on the original which could beautify and make the image look better but nonetheless the whole wall goes together in all of this...great job girl!
I think, the sky would be better with less clouds....
and you can improve the saturation of the overall scan by duplicating the layer and set to 'Soft light', then apply some gaussian blur to add 'halo' effect...
because the original style is manga and the sky looks too realistic for it so they don't quite match...
anyways.. nice composition, really nice

Beautiful wallpaper, that was definitely a great scan to do one with. I would get rid of a few of the clouds, the sky is too crowded. But, other than that, it looks wonderful.
uhm...suggestion?..okie
maybe change the sky to sunset instead? hehe
that'll be a little bit more interesting, like after a hard day @ work...they are all just chilling and playing chess ^^ HAHA

Yeah, you should definitely consider what KorganoS and OA mentioned about with the scan...although I don't know that'd I'd guass blur is that much, might want to play with that yourself. You could also consider coloring the scan too cause manga images are hard to use in walls unless you plan on making the whole thing match the style of the manga image.
As for the bg the clouds make it look like all the guys are way up in the sky so I think you should probably have less clouds. Some added things like birds, maybe some trees/shrubs, wind blown leaves, sunlight, or even some hills/mountains in the far distance.

The background doesn't give off a lot of detail but good job on it.

How would it look like if you made the sky to night amd put in a bright moon and darkened the pic a little?
Cause I think it looks a bit to bright ......

This is definitely different from all the other FMA wallpaper's I've seen. I usually just see the brothers or Roy. (Not that I mind...) In my opinion, simple is always the best way to go. I like what you've done.

great effects! love the background color mixed in with the character, makes it natural
i think this wallie looks great. i love the idea of it and i think you put it to work fantasticly. if you could manage it, i'd like to see how this would look with a night sky background. the sky you have now already looks like it has stars in it, and maybe thats what Havoc could be looking it? you'd have to darken the image and add a bit of light ring around what looks like a light bulb over Fury's head (maybe he had a great idea? he he). im not sure how easy that would be, but its a great idea, no?
anyways, i think you did a good job with this as it is. i seem to like all your walls. keep it up.
