wow this guy is also called alphonse? what a german name =P the vector is quite cool but i think the stock photo needs more filters to make it look more anime-like.

My fourth wall; it isn't much to speak of. I really wanted to vector the original picture; so there's Edward and Alphonse Heiderich for you. I had to fudge a tad on their hands as text obscured most of that part.
I like the juxtaposition of tampered-photographs (that's been through so many filters I lost count at this point); and cel-shaded artwork. It makes the picture seem real while firmly connecting that it's not.
Vectoring the original pictures took about 48 hrs; added on the rest took another 10 hrs. I lost count of the layers in Photoshop as I merged a lot of them together to make the file size smaller.

It's pretty good for a second attempt. And yes, I agree, there aren't enough wallpapers of Envy T-T. And he's my favourite character...
