Artist Comment
I rather liked the art of Blue Sub 6 when I first saw it, though I'd never heard of Range Murata back then. When I first joined here, the art used in some of the first wallpapers I stumbled upon (by Calisqo) had the same style: that's how I first discovered the artist. I've been wanting to give a Murata wallpaper a shot for some time now, so I finally broke down and made one... It's very simple, though I like it. Anyway... that's about it.

It's got a nice and simple design to it and the background works nicely. Cool looking characters too. Nice work.

It looks good as a nice and simple wallpaper. My only complaint would have to be that the font is too blurry. I would like it more if there were textures on the whole image, because textures are always really good. Good job though.

NIce design xd.
i like the color, stripping the original color to black and white is awesome.
My fav from this has to be the font , it's awesome.
The simplicity is nice.
Nice pick of color I must say.

wow. I love the art used here--not as much as Amano-san's, of course, but nothing comes close to amano. The artist's name is Range Murata, you say? I'll have to go through his gallery... The piece itself is nice, if very simple, and I like the washed out look of the colors... I'm not so sure about the ripple effect--in some ways, it seems very appropriate to the theme of the wall, though in others it seems to clash with the complexity of the characters. Also, interesting outline effect: how did you make that? The title, though, surprisingly enough, is what really pulls it all together for me. I love how "chrome" looks so metallic in it, not to mention that the arrangement job is superb. Maybe a little blurry like bromit said, but it's really nice. The gradient usage especially is just perfect.

nice bg, the blending is good too, I see you got that modern artistic style going with this wallie, I can see it hanging in the wall of some poetry reading club's wall, good job Mak. :)

Lol this will be the last one of yours I'll look at tonight... :)
I wanted to have a peek at this because it's Range Murata... :P Hehehehe
I really do like how you put the larger outline in the back... I have seen so much stuff that has done that but has made it look like sheer crap... here it looks wonderful... the photoshop default brush is something I see as well but never used as effectively as it has been done here... only thing I would have liked to see was some smoke from his cigarette... but the simple effect is overall powerful.
Adding to my favourites :)
