WHOOOO!!!
After seven weeks death note is finally back in action, and in celebration of that heres a wallpaper.
Okay so I took the imaga of Light and played around with some filters and things. Had to clean him up too, there was a fold down the center. The background is a stock picture I used alot of filters on. I kinda like the burnt look. Anyway, hope you enjoy and leave some comments.

I like your choice of character and your filterwork on the background seems fine too. I have a couple a suggestions...I don't know if they would improve the image or not. They are just thoughts that popped in my mind as I studied your work.
1.) I feel the background color should be shifted some to match more closely the reflected peach-like color on his sleeve edge. Or maybe shift the character color palette more reddish to match the background more.
2.)Really not sure about this thought but I'll say it anyway: Have you seen the glowing dropshadow effect that many character have where they are surrounded by a glowing soft field of white? Try one of these behind you guy to see if it looks good or not.

I really like the lighting on him...Very nicely done there. The background seems to suit him very nicely too.
i have to agree with Poogie on the possible glowing around him...Something subtle...Just enough color to blend him better with the back ground.
You did a great job on getting rid of the crease line down the middle of him...I wouldn't have known it had one if you hadn't mentioned it....
