Well, I've been working on this on and off for the past week or so... Since my last (and first) wallpaper was extremely abstract, and mildly light, I wanted to make this one more realistic and much heavier... I think you'll find this one a little disturbing. ^^' The backdrop is a scan from DREAM featuring Vampire Hunter D, though it features a number of other scans, taken from DREAM and markjo's galleries. Really what I wanted to capture most was the kind of absolute despair and generally damned feelings that I get from John the Divine's book of the Bible, Revelations. And no, this has nothing to do with that goddam pansy-ass pathetic "movie" that NBC is coming out with. Ugh.
Anyway, I'm probably going for too artsy and disturbing, considering how unknown I am here, but this is the kind of stuff that you should expect from me.

Nice work, ge. You improved a lot since your last wallpaper. I'm not so sure I like the white glow you've surrounded the character with, but other than that... It's very nice. You definitely achieved disturbing with this one, though, hahaha. Anyway... I don't really know what else I can say. Very nice work with the color scheme, I like how you darkened the original image so much. I'd recommend getting rid of the white glow, and it'd be perfect.

Omni your opening diatribe there is one of the funniest i have read.
the wall:
first off your selections of scans tells me that you searched thorugh all Amano scans and choose some new ones that haven't been used yet.
personally i generally don't like wallpapers that use more than 2 scans but somehow you pulled it off; alhtough i would have used one less.the backgound is awesome and totally conveys the feeling of "hell"
tjhe moon looks great as wel..awesome job Omni i can't wait to see your next wallpaper.
+favsbtw- im telling all interested parties to scope out your wallpaper. ^_^

Man, the idea is carried out really well in this wall- *cough* desktop design :P
Everything is blended in really well and there is a trail ... where I can follow my eyes to different points and see or reveal another hellish thing awaiting to scare the living daylights out of me xd
i also like how you kept the rawness of all the images by maintaining their texture :)
One thing I perhaps would have done though *points at the yellow faced guy grinning like the Grinch* is crack his face up with brushes. Evil is evil. I would probably have cracked or flaked his skin up so that he'd be extra freaky. Livens things up a little too. You can count how many flakes are coming off him XP
The white face of the lady is somewhat a little distracting because it's different to the rest of the colours in this work. I'd perhaps go to the colour adjustments and change that to a bronzey or whatever colour :)
But methinks this is the best work in your gallery. Got a bit of a shocker to see so few comments and shouts on this. You get the Misa stamp of approval and 1 weeks' supply of free kudos :)

Hello, your sister told me to take a look at your gallery... ^^ So here I am... and I found this awesome Amano wallpaper. I am really impressed how you managed to use so many different scans for one wallpaper. It's definitely my favorite in your gallery... The only part I don't like that much is the face of the lady... maybe you shouldn't have added this scan, in my opinion... or yes, maybe it'd help to change the color a little... it is a bit too white.
But you manage to create the illusion of "hell" really well. It's a very good Amano wallpaper... thanks for sharing it with us. ^^ -
